Teachers College honors distinguished employees

Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Afnan, the Dean of Teachers College, a dinner ceremony was held in the college theater at eight o clock on Tuesday evening, 30/1/1435 AH - corresponding to 03/12/2013 AD. The ceremony was held in order to honor an elite group of faculty members who have been promoted or awarded degrees, and also to honor the outstanding staff members of the college. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Badr bin Joweyed Al-Otaibi, the supervisor of Teachers College, and Their Excellencies Vice deans and Heads of departments, and a group of faculty members and a number of guests. The evening was full of emotions and memories as appeared in the speeches delivered by honored colleagues and distinguished guests. The ceremony started with a recitation of some Quranic verses, and then speeches rolled on. HE Dr. / Adel Abdul Shakoor Al-Zuraky gave a speech on behalf of colleagues who have been promoted. He expressed his happiness and pride to work at Teachers College, and stressed the efforts made by the dean to develop the college during his tenure. He added that universities develop only with the efforts of faculty members. Next speech was delivered by HE Dr. Jazem Al-Enzi on behalf of other colleagues who were awarded an MA or a PhD. He expressed his happiness and gratitude to those who participated in the preparation of the ceremony. Then came the speech of HE Prof. Badr bin Joweyed Al-Otaibi who stressed the importance of linking education to the labor market and extended his thanks and appreciation to HE Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Afnan for his great efforts during his tenure as a vice dean and a dean at Teachers College.
The final speech was delivered by HE Dean of the college Dr. Ali bin Abdullah Al-Afnan who emphasized the ongoing support on the part of the College Deanship to its distinguished employees and encouraged those who have obtained certificates or got promotion to work hard for the sake of their country. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to HE Prof. Badr bin Joweyed Al-Otaibi, the supervisor of Teachers College. At the end of the ceremony, HE College Dean and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs granted shields of gratitude to some staff members for their efforts and achievements wishing them prosperity and progress. Then, attendees had dinner together.
